A friend of mine told me about B-Dry. I guess they have a pretty good reputation.
They have a real useful web based program on their web site that helps homeowners analyze the causes of the basement water problem. Its free to use and really does offer some good advice.

It helped me find the source of my dampness problems and also had some good general recommendations on how to prevent basement water and dampness.
They seem to really have the consumer in mind because their info saved me a lot and I have already referred some others to their web site.
