Got my first bike here. 22 i started working there.. They went threw bankruptcy. I was the head mechanic. They screwed me over on my last check. The owner only wants your money. My self and the other two employees found a crack pipe in the fridge. “glass tube stuffed with steel wool and all blacked up.” I personally saw police digging threw the cars in the back and the office.. The owner never paid any one over time. He had about 9 cars but never gave anyone a raise. Always had a case of beer in the fridge and drinking while we all worked. He use to try and force me to use my own truck to run the 1000lbs of scrap steel to the scrap yard. Paint his home, mow his lawn and clean his gutters.. Tell i finally stood up and said i will only do my job as the mechanic of bicycle village.. They have no rides. Dont help with the skatepark or pump track. Highest prices on repairs, and parts from the 80s. Looks like a garage sale. This place is some where ill never return to and forever curse.
I am unable to remove this^^comment. But, for every ones reassurance Bicycle Village is under new owner ship and no longer experiences any of these problems.. Good luck to them and the new ownership. I’ve moved on to open my own shop, And am currently one year away from attaining a dual degree, in Construction Trades, and Liberal Arts. My hard feelings were with the previous owner.
