Another 2013 Scion FR-S came into Bay City today. This little sports car is fun to drive. To get some pictures I took it down to the Bay City riverfront and people were turning their heads for a look everywhere I went. This is the third one that we’ve gotten in mid-Michigan and I’ll be it won’t stay on the car lot for a week.
People are saying that they want a manual transmission in the FR-S. The automatic (this one is) has the best of both worlds. I have to admit that the automatic is not a thriller. Even in sport mode the car seems tuned for gas mileage and not going fast. But set it into manual and use the paddle shifters on the steering wheel- now you’re ready to race. This small car with rear wheel drive and 200HP may not seem like much but it can get up and go. Remember the old Toyota Celica? That car only had 205HP and people loved the thrill of driving that car.
Bottom line – this car looks great, is fun to drive and with a price tag of $26,030 is very affordable.
