Being a creative person myself it is always a joy to see others pursuing their creative dreams. So when I was given the opportunity to be a part of the first screening of a short movie made completely by local people in Bay City I couldn’t refuse the offer.
Last night a large group gathered at The Whistling Idiots Theatre on Van Buren Street. This building is absolutely beautiful, but that’s another story. Wade, who wrote and produced the movie, had a great spread of snacks and there was a cash bar. So I filled my plate got a beer and waited patiently for the movie to start.
At this point you may be waiting for a movie review . . . but I’m not going to give one. As you can see on the flyer image I suggest that you go see the movie at the State Theatre on July 21st and make your own review.
What I do want to do is give a big congratulations for Wade and his crew for putting together a project and completing it. I talk to a lot of people that have great ideas and may even get started but never seem to complete the project. Wade mentioned that this short movie, around 35 minutes, took two years to create. That’s a long time and there were a lot of people and local businesses involved.
So my friends – go see the movie. If you don’t live in the Bay City MI area perhaps it will show up online sometime this summer and you could watch it there.
