A lot of times with photography we are in such a hurry to get the job done that some great pictures get missed. This was the case with a photo shoot with Samantha Skowronek, Miss Michigan Galaxy 2010. We had to get some pictures from the photo shoot out fast and to the printer. There were a lot of great shots and we picked the best 5 and I concentrated my efforts on those images. Now going back and editing some more from the photo shoot I found some fantastic images and was please to be able to send Sam some more pictures.

Samantha placed in the top 5 an the 2010 Galaxy International Pageant.

7/12/2010 – yesterday I put the code on the page, watched the videos and didn’t purchase the product. I would like to purchase the product but I’m not sure it’s worth $100. Today I checked my stats. Within 24 hours I got 7 hits to this page. One of the search phrases that brought 2 hits was “traffic-zombie review”. I’m still on the fence about spending the money to get the software. I wish I had $100 to just throw around to test it . . . but I don’t. Perhaps the guys at Traffic-Zombie will read this and give me a 30 day trial to let everyone know how good it really is!

7/19/2010 – I’ve been seeing about 5 visits a day because of this Traffic Zombie post. I still have not signed up for the software and would like to see a demo of it before I spend the money. At this point there is still no contact from the Traffic-Zombie people about a free test. Anyone use the software yet? Leave a comment and let me know if it is worth the money.

7/23/2010 – In response to the comment I got last night – The original post is the code that was required to put on my page by Traffic-Zombie to get into the info page and get a code for 50% off the price of the software. This is why it may look like I’ve used the software and endorse it. I didn’t sign up for the software but wanted to see how much traffic just adding the info on my page would bring.

At this point I’m getting 4-5 visitors per day just because of this post. I would still like to test the software but don’t have a spare $100 to test it. I would be happy to spend the money if I knew that Traffic Zombie does what it says . . . but I haven’t had any comments from people that have used it to let me know it works. Nor have I had any contact from the Traffic-Zombie people to let me see more or test the software.

7/27/2010 – OK . . . today I pulled the trigger. I got the 1/2 off Traffic Zombie. I didn’t go for the up-sell and got the basic half off program with 10 campaigns. I recommend watching the 30 minute how-to video. I tried to setup a campaign without it and it took just as long as if I had just watched the video. My campaign is almost up and running for one of the companies I work with.

I have to say that the program is pretty slick. It’s easy enough to setup and get going. I ran a test of my first campaign and it worked and the stats show up nicely. We’ll see what kind of traffic Traffic Zombie will generate and report back here in the near future.

7/30/2010 – put the first Traffic Zombie campaign live at 10am EST today. Look back I’ll be reporting the stats of the first live test.

Gumby Visits A Girly Girl

Gumby Feeds Pokey

Gumby gives his friend Pokey a big green M&M! It’s nice to have friends that give you tasty treats.

While these pictures are of a rubber toy with bendable metal - the TV show Gumby was made out of plasticine, which disintegrates quickly. Animators went through five or six Gumbys for every scene.

I’m never at a loss of creativity with my new model. He has inspired me in ways that I can’t put a value on. Last night we were just hanging out together chatting about some creative ideas and concepts for upcoming photo shoots. He’s just such a cute model I couldn’t resist taking his picture as we were casually hanging out.

Getting Ready for the Carfax 400

I didn’t know that Gumby and Pokey are part of the Carfax NASCAR team. I snapped a picture of them tuning up the car and getting ready for the races at Michigan International Speedway.

After a few hours of work they kick back, relax and share stores of race days past.

My wife and I love to work with new models. We make a great team. My wife is great at doing make-up and I get to setup the shots. We recently had an aspiring model into the studio for some work with clothing for a website.

Kayla had only done one photoshoot before. She said it was for antique wedding dresses and they couldn’t move or touch the clothes because they were so delicate. We tried to have some fun in this shoot. Like any first time photoshoot we try to get a good headshot. I really like this one but it is going to take some time to edit he wild fly away hair.

Begging for Facebook Likes

Ok, so everyone (and their mother) is on Facebook. I feel bad because I don’t have very many “likes” on my photography page. So I decided to attempt some drastic measures.

Actually I spent the entire day making crappy little marketing graphics for websites and needed a little creative outlet. Plus if Purrl sees this I’m in trouble when I get home!
