I’ve been trying to make a visual listing of businesses in Saginaw and have been concentrating on restaurants.  Today I was reading Mlive (which I don’t do very often because I think the website sucks) and noticed an article about Lone Star Steakhouse.  Perhaps this is why my blog was getting a lot of hits from people searching for Lone Star.  The article was about the Lone Star Restaurants in Saginaw and Bay City closed their doors on Sunday, September 12th.  It’s hard to keep a site for Saginaw businesses updated when they are going out of business so fast.  Perhaps this will be an archive for people to see what was once in Saginaw.

As a Saginaw business owner I hope that this trend reverses itself.  I talk to a lot of business owners that are somewhat positive and a lot that don’t see a future.  It’s time to create a future.

There were some jokes going around about the last person out of Michigan “turn the lights out” . . . unfortunately this seems to be a good saying for Saginaw right now.
