Great Lakes Lighting 3865 Wilder Rd # 3 Bay City, MI 48706 I spoke with the owner of Great Lake Lighting the other day about some energy saving lights. He is a wealth of information. I was especially interested in a line of lights they carry that replace fluorescent fixtures. It is the T8 LED light tube. I am looking forward to getting a few of these to try out and see if they are worth the hype.
Royal Buffet and Grill Chinese Restaurant 201 N Euclid Ave Bay City, MI 48706 Update: This restaurant is closed. For as long as I can remember this restaurant was the Linden-Hoff restaurant. Not to long ago the Linden-Hoff closed and a China buffet opened.
There is a new hotel in Bay City and it is nice. The new Holiday Inn Express is just off I-75 on Wilder Road. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites 3959 Traxler Court Bay City, MI 48706 I was out taking some pictures for Labadie Car Rental and decided to get a picture of the Holiday Inn Express at the same time. Shown here is a 2009 Scion tC that is available for rent. The Labadie Car Rental is only about 3 miles from the Holiday Inn Express and would probably deliver a car to the hotel is you asked.
Intermission Deli 111 3rd St Bay City, MI 48708 I love the sandwiches at Intermission Deli. Plus it’s always nice to give your money to local businesses instead of the chain stores. Again I was driving around town in a Scion tC and decided that this was a great opportunity to take a picture of another great Bay City business.

Stretch’s Curve Bar 618 S Henry Bay City, MI 48706 Stretch’s Curve Bar is just a few blocks from Midland Street in Bay City. The google map doesn’t place the location correctly. Stretch’s bar and gril is actually on the corner of Henry and Fischer.
Shown here is the backside of Tommy V’s restaurant in Bay City, MI. This is the view from the entrance into the parking lot from E. John St. Directly across the street from the Post Office and one block from Sage Library. Update: This restaurant is now closed.
Everyone from Bay City knows Michigan Sugar (they make Pioneer Sugar). The plan has been around for a very long time and when in full production you can smell the cooking sugar beets for miles. This image is the backside of the Michigan Sugar plant. This picture was taken from Westside Saginaw Road.
There is a really cool building where E Fisher and Walnut streets meet. I’m not sure what this building is for – but my assumption is that it is some kind of power plant. Anybody know what this building is? Leave a comment!
