My experience with auto dealers is that they typically don’t ask for help with their marketing strategy. This is a major issue because this should be the #1 area. Without a clearly defined marketing strategy everything becomes disconnected and more of a shotgun method (shoot it out there and you’re bound to hit something).
About one and a half years ago my son along with an old acquaintance launched a website selling suits for men.
Changing from one automotive website CMS provider to another proves to be a serious pain in the ass. But it shouldn’t have to be this way.
For 2015 Toyota completely redesigned the Camry. Labadie had just gotten their first one on the lot. I was about to create some banner ads and upload them to Adwords when I realized that a landing page was never created. So the gathering of information for the landing page begun. Creating a landing page isn’t hard, I’ve been creating these things for (holy crap just realized) 20 years. My assumption is that customers like it because they don’t have to pay for a long distance call. Perhaps my thinking about toll-free numbers is antiquated with so many people not having a land line and mostly calling from cell phones. But a spam filter? Really? I realize that companies use toll-free numbers…
Sometimes the results are just way off and it makes me wonder.
Spent the day creating more banner ads for 2014 Toyota vehicles.
Going over my statistics for CPC advertising I have a few questions rolling around in my head. Are the experts lying? Am I reading my statistics wrong? Is the automotive retail online customer so completely different than all other online shoppers? Why these questions? Because my CPC or search advertising analytics don’t match what the experts tell me. How so? When I create a search ad, let’s say for the Buick Regal, to improve my quality score I don’t land the customer into my home page but into my inventory. Because after all if someone is searching for a Buick…
Why use schema on your product website? I recently had an epiphany.
I had read the value of landing pages for car dealer websites but now I have some real life data to back it up.
