We haven’t had much snow this winter in Mid-Michigan but today we had a normal winter day.

If you had watched the news last night you would have thought the apocalypse was coming.  They were telling people to stock up on supplies and get ready for the storm.  Then they went on to predict 3 inches of show.  WHAT??? Three inches!!! WOW – that’s nothing.  That’s not even enough for me to break out the skis.  Are these weather reporters from Florida?

I think this is just another example of the general state of our broadcast news.  Everything is hype and sensationalized.  The sad thing is there is a large percentage of people who believe and do whatever they say.  There was a run on bottled water and people were going out an buying extra supplies.  Come on people – really!  I think this is even more proof that Darwin was wrong and we are not evolving as people.  You would think with all the information we are bombarded with that our brains would be powerful enough to filter out this BS.  I guess as long as this is the type of so called news that gets peoples attention it will not go away anytime soon.
