I was brought on as a senior developer to help modernize and scale the AdSnap SaaS platform for AutoSnap, focusing on critical data integrations and architectural improvements. The AdSnap platform instantly creates informative, engaging, and agency-quality vehicle ad experiences that perform better and help dealers sell more cars. These ad experiences lead shoppers to faster buying decisions everywhere they shop online, including dealership websites, social media ads, and car shopping portals.
I led a major Laravel framework upgrade spanning several versions, carefully planning and executing the migration to ensure zero downtime and backward compatibility. As part of this modernization effort, I architected and implemented a service-oriented architecture, splitting the monolithic application into two dedicated services: a backend processing service for data transformation and ad generation, and a separate dealership interface service for dealer management and configuration. This architectural refactoring improved system scalability, maintainability, and enabled independent deployment cycles for each service.
I designed and implemented critical data integrations to connect the platform with various automotive data sources and dealer management systems, ensuring seamless data flow and real-time synchronization. Working collaboratively with the lead developer, I enhanced existing platform features and implemented high-priority functionality that dealerships had been requesting, directly addressing customer needs and improving platform adoption.
